Christy Waits
Christy Waits is the MAERC Ranch Operations Assistant. She has a B.S. degree in Zoology from Auburn University with a concentration in conservation and biodiversity. She is responsible for managing the herd database using CattleStar, our herd tracking database developed by Archbold Data Manager, Kye Ewing. Christy also helps monitor the cow herd. She was the primary field assistant on our calf-loss study, in which we attempted to document when calves were being lost between conception and weaning. Christy also helps out with general operations jobs, such as checking water troughs and pasture conditions.
